Evaluation of supply chain risks by fuzzy DEMATEL method: a case study of iron and steel industry in Turkey

Business practices to strengthen competitiveness increase the vulnerability of supply chains risks. Risks that can adversely affect effectiveness and efficiency chain activities are events disrupt flow information, materials, money, products. Therefore, risk management is vital for companies. It necessary identify risks threaten prioritize them. In addition, examining effects on each other will determine success management. This study evaluates Turkey’s leading iron steel company’s groups sub-risks. The fuzzy DEMATEL method was used relative importance other. Results show most critical group business followed by customer risks, supplier transportation environmental and, finally, security provides originality evaluating from a broader perspective.
